Dr. Kaloti enjoys helping people, both at personally and professionally, and have fun while doing so. She always knew she wanted a job that allowed her to do that, and spent her childhood babysitting, lifeguarding, teaching swimming lessons, and volunteering in the geriatrics unit of her local hospital. She enjoys working with patients of all ages.

Dr. Kaloti started studying dentistry in 2000 and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with her DMD. After practicing dentistry for five years, she decided to take some time to focus on building her family. When she returned to work, Dr. Kaloti and Dr. Minhas decided to partner up and open up West 85th Dental. Their vision was to create a warm, inviting office and a pleasant and relaxing experience that would make their patients look forward to visiting.

At West 85th Dental, we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive dental care to all our patients by providing thorough examinations, explaining our findings clearly, educating our patients about oral hygiene, and providing multiple treatment options that allow our patients to make educated decisions about their health and care.

When Dr. Kaloti is not seeing patients, she spends her time doing charity runs, water sports, pilates, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Minhas was born and raised in Calgary, and after completing his dental training at the University of Alberta in 2008, returned home to practice. He opened West 85th Dental with Dr. Kaloti in 2013 and has now been practicing dentistry for over ten years.

Dr. Minhas enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, from pediatric dentistry to surgical dentistry. When he is not working Dr. Minhas enjoys spending time with his wife Laurie and four children.

Dawn worked for Dr. Minhas for ten years before he opened West 85th Dental, and joined our team in 2014. With more than twenty years of experience in dental office management and assistance, Dawn brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. As the Office Manager, Dawn oversees our daily operations and enhances our practice by helping ensure our patients and their families have a great experience every time they visit. Dawn enjoys incorporating her extensive knowledge with her knack for providing excellent customer service to support our staff and help us provide our patients with phenomenal service.

Dawn works hard to build lasting relationships with our patients, help them work through treatment concerns, create financial plans, and contribute to the positive environment that West 85th Dental is known for. Dawn loves working with the rest of the team to create an unparalleled patient experience and thrives on the positive energy that permeates our practice. She appreciates how attentive the dentists and the rest of the dental care team exhibits.

When she is not at the office Dawn enjoys spending time with her two boys, going camping (in summer or winter), meeting new people, exploring new places, and discovering what Canada has to offer.

Zanna has seventeen years of dental administrator experience and joined the West 85th Dental team in 2014. She loves her job, and how all of her team members work hard to create an environment that is caring and respectful while providing unparalleled dental care to each and every patient. Her favourite part of her job is interacting with our patients, and working hard to ensure that each patient feels comfortable and welcome when they arrive for their appointment. Zanna also works hard to ensure all of our billing and insurance processing goes as smoothly as possible.

In her free time, Zanna enjoys spending time with her family, baking and decorating cakes, and travelling. Some of her favourite foreign destinations include Spain, Turkey, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

Sherry graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1997 and completed her Bachelor of Dental Sciences in 2008 at the University of British Columbia. She was born in Edmonton, but raised in Calgary, and has been practicing dental hygiene for eighteen years.

Sherry has always been passionate about good oral hygiene. A life-long learner, Sherry enjoys opportunities such as industry courses and experiential learning that allow her to expand her knowledge in dentistry and dental hygiene. Her proactive attitude and strong work ethic has allowed her to accumulate a wealth of knowledge that covers many facets of the dental industry. Sherry also holds a certification in the administration of local anesthetics and can provide laser-assisted periodontal therapy.

As a dental health professional, Sherry is dedicated to providing comprehensive and empathetic patient-centric preventative care. She believes that good dental hygiene practices play a critical role in every patient’s oral health plan and continually strives to exceed expectations both within her industry and with her patients by applying her extensive knowledge.

Sherry and her husband have a son and a daughter. When Sherry is not in the office, she spends her time with a Calgary based Ukrainian dance ensemble, and recently performed for the group’s 40th anniversary celebration. Sherry also enjoys sitting on volunteer boards, running, reading, and doing active outdoor activities with her family.

Genna was born and raised in Calgary and graduated from SAIT in 2014. She has been working alongside Dr. Minhas and Dr. Kaloti ever since. Genna loves helping our team create beautiful smiles, providing restorative and endodontic treatments, and helping our littlest patients overcome their fear of the dentist’s office. She finds her work at West 85th Dental extremely rewarding.

Genna loves expanding her knowledge and approaches each day as a new learning opportunity that can help her improve her skills and expand her dental knowledge.

When Genna is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her nieces and nephews and her English bulldog, Kaia, as well as doing strength training and boxing.

Lisa was born in Winnipeg however moved to Calgary with her family when she was 10 years old. She graduated from SAIT and has been a Dental Assistant for 17 years. She enjoys learning and expanding her knowledge of the dental field.
She enjoys spending time with her family travelling. She has two boys, and loves helping people. When Lisa was younger, she babysat, volunteered at the Children’s Hospital, and volunteered teaching swimming lessons.
“I should have known I would have ended up in the dental world since when I was a child and used to make retainers out of paperclips and tape because I always wanted a retainer like my best friend growing up”.
